In approximately 2 months the new legislation with respect to Workplace Violence & Harassment comes into force. Is your organization prepared?
The legislation will amend the Occupational Health & Safety Act and require employers to assess the risk of workplace violence and take reasonable precautions to protect workers from possible domestic violence in the workplace, develop and communicate workplace violence and harassment policies and programs to workers, alert workers of the risk of workplace violence from persons with a history of violent behaviour, as well as train all employees, managers, and supervisors on policies and programs.
HR Performance & Results is currently holding Bill 168 & Workplace Violence Risk Assessment Training sessions to help organizations become compliant. Sessions are being held in Barrie, York Region, and the GTA. For further details on the sessions please visit our Bill 168 & Workplace Violence Risk Assessment Training page.
