AODA - Accessibility Standards for Customer Service
& Integrated Standards Program
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005's purpose is to develop, implement, and enforce accessibility standards in order to acheive accessibility for Ontarian's with disabilities in five areas (i.e. employment, premises, etc.) on or before January 1st, 2025.
The customer service standard of the Act requires businesses to provide fully accessible customer service to people with disabilities. If you provide goods or services, you must comply with the regulation by January 1st, 2012. On June 3rd, 2011, the Ontario government passed the Integrated Accessibility Regulation under the AODA and the compliance steps. This regulation gave the enforcement of law to new standards to address barriers facing persons with disabilities.
Let us help you do the work!

“HR Performance and Results thankfully notified us about the new AODA regulations well in advance so we were able to hold the necessary training for our staff and be prepared for any surprise Audits. Our employees were intrigued by the array of issues that persons with disabilities are affected by and how as a Company we need to be diligent and proactive about servicing these customers. HR Performance made the training session interesting, interactive, and informative.“

“The AODA training program held by HR Performance & Results was very informative and educational. The content and format of the program was well put together and we gained the knowledge we needed about the AODA and its requirements. The facilitator, Janice Leroux, did an excellent job! The team at HR Performance & Results assisted us in complying with the AODA, and helped us with the required policies by creating and customizing the policies based on our business.”
Thanks, from the team at Arnott Construction.
